Digital Marketing Manager
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing SEO and social media strategies for clients. The Digital Marketing Manager can quickly understand and support initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of client campaigns. This hire will work with and report to the Director of Web Development and Digital Sales, working with other stakeholders to develop and lead the website SEO and content strategy to enhance brand engagement, awareness and loyalty for VistaGraphics’ proprietary websites and for custom sites contracted with VistaGraphics. This hire will oversee all aspects of website content, search engine optimization, audience engagement, and analytics reporting. This hire will also collaborate with partners in-house and contracted clients to develop digital content and marketing plans that are consistent with the client’s voice, brand, identity, goals and regulatory bodies.

  • Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Leverage tools, including Google Analytics, to monitor, report and act on performance of all website/digital properties
  • Report weekly and monthly on all website traffic and engagement growth through data collection and reports
  • Conduct website audits and identify SEO opportunities and present plans to enhance website performance
  • Conduct keyword research to determine the most appropriate and relevant keywords to target
  • Manage the all website properties internal linking structure and enhance to support SEO efforts.
  • Conduct competitor keyword and website analysis
  • Monitor and report on search engine keyword rankings
  • Crawl internal and external websites on a regular basis to identify SEO opportunities for improvement
  • Plan and execute a content strategy for VistaGraphics’ sites and for contracted sites that enhances the brand awareness, increases visibility and deepens relationships and engagement with key audience segments
  • Manage brand and identity positioning across all web properties for all managed sites.
  • Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in digital marketing positions, with demonstrated successes leading SEO strategy and traffic growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Experience with media companies a plus
  • Google Analytics and reporting experience is required, Google Analytics Certification preferred
  • Strong writing and editing skills required – must show flexibility in writing styles, including professional voice and creative approach to website copy/content
  • Ability to measure reach and engagement using analytic/reporting tools in order to develop best practices, create strategic plans and guide communications projects required
  • High attention to detail required
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines required

This individual will need to be the expert on digital services and will work closely with the Director, Web Development & Digital Sales, independently and in conjunction with the VistaGraphics sales team.

2. Account Executive:
Responsible for the on-going and daily sales and territory activities for defined territories. These activities include all issues regarding sales, production, collections, distribution of publications and customer service to hospitality related accounts and prospects and distribution, merchandising responsibility for specific publications. Sales growth within territory is expected to grow by expanding our current base and by exploiting the opportunities that exist for our various products with our current base. The position of sales reports to the Sales Manager regarding performance against sales goals, distribution, collections and production. A challenging position that covers a wide array of responsibilities especially deadlines with outside clients. Must convey excellent communication skills, ability to handle diligently multiple tasks and deadlines, and convey confidence when representing products.

Similar responsibilities ad Account Executive, however markets are on a smaller scale and territories may include special assignment sales initiatives. This position requires extensive, short-term weekly travel to markets and/or assignments. Specific tasks include all those of Account Executive; however the need may arise to deliver magazines when needed. Overall, this dynamic position is training to become an Account Executive. Compensation is salary based until promoted to Account Executive whereas compensation becomes unlimited based upon performance.

Coastal Virginia Magazine is seeking motivated and outgoing interns for the Editorial Department during Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assembling the Datebook calendar of events, writing/updating editorial for Visitors Guides publications, acquiring images/art, general research and fact checking, assisting in copy editing and proofing pages, helping with large-scale projects and events and general administrative duties. There also may be opportunities to write for the publication. Ideal candidates are college sophomores, juniors or seniors. Experience writing and editing preferred. VistaGraphics is looking for creative college students who would like hands-on web design/development experience. Duties include updating content on existing websites using HTML, content management systems, Dreamweaver and CSS. Required Skills: HTML (hand-coding). Working knowledge of Photoshop (image resizing, cropping, laying out graphics, optimizing), Dreamweaver, WordPress, CSS or Text Wrangler. 4. Graphic Design Intern
Job Duties: Incorporating creative skills, commercial/advertising awareness, and proficient knowledge of design software (specifically including Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) to develop materials for clients and company projects. Projects include but are not limited to event promotions and signage, banner ads, print ad design and page layout.
